As spring ushers in the renewal of life, Bakerview Cemetery warmly invites you to our Ching Ming Open House, a day dedicated to the venerable tradition of honouring our ancestors. Ching Ming, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day, is a time for remembrance, reverence, and the celebration of life’s perpetual cycle. In the spirit of this meaningful festival, we have planned a day that not only pays homage to those who have passed but also embraces the rich cultural heritage that shapes our community.

Join us at Bakerview Memorial Cemetery to partake in a series of curated activities designed to foster a deeper connection with our ancestors and the traditions that keep their memory alive. Our open house will feature a traditional lion dance, symbolizing strength and good fortune, and the wisdom of a Feng Shui master, offering insights into harmonious living. Guests will enjoy special discounts exclusive to this event, making it the perfect opportunity to secure a serene final resting place for loved ones, with the added comfort of knowing you are honouring their legacy in a meaningful way. We will have guided walking tours, displays of what the future of the grounds will look like, gift cards, and staff to answer any of your questions. We’ll aslo provide complimentary food and beverages, creating a welcoming atmosphere where families can come together in remembrance and celebration.

This Ching Ming, let us gather at Bakerview Cemetery to reflect, remember, and learn. It’s a day to celebrate the ties that bind us to our past and the natural cycle of life and death, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of our grounds. We look forward to sharing this day of honour and remembrance with you and your family.
