As the holiday season draws near, we at Bakerview Memorial Cemetery want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for entrusting us with the care of your loved ones and for choosing Bakerview as a place to honour and preserve their memories. It has been our privilege to support you and your family during such meaningful times.

The holidays are a time for reflection, connection, and togetherness. We are committed to ensuring that Bakerview remains a serene, welcoming space where memories are cherished and legacies endure.

This year has brought many developments to our cemetery, and we’re excited to share some of them with you:

• Faith-Based Sections: This year, we’ve introduced dedicated spaces for different faiths, such as the Muslim Crescent Section, the Christian/Orthodox Holy Resurrection Section, and Sunset North and Sunset South sections are dedicated to Langley Residents. These areas are designed to honour traditions and provide a sense of belonging to the local communities we support.
• Ministry Partnership for Families in Need: Through our partnership with the Ministry of Social Development & Poverty Reduction, we’re able to assist families with limited resources by providing funding for burials. This is part of our mission to make dignified burial options accessible to all.

• Langley Mayor visits Bakerview: This year, we were honoured to welcome Mayor Woodward of the Township of Langley to Bakerview Memorial Cemetery. During his visit, the Mayor toured our grounds to observe firsthand how our local business operates and contributes to the community.
• Our Second Annual Ching Ming event: As part of honouring the diverse cultures of the Lower Mainland we had our second ‘Tomb-Sweeping Day’ at the start of April, celebrating with families a traditional lion dance, blessing from a Feng Shui Master, guided tours, and more.
